Tripping the light “Fantastic”
I’m thrilled to be scouting locations for the new feature “Captain Fantastic,” which will shoot in Washington later this summer. Much of the the film takes place in the Washington wilderness, which is a great opportunity to feature some of the state’s most breathtaking scenery. Here’s a shot of me scouting old growth forest in the vicinity of Mount Rainier. The trees were so big I had to use myself for scale, placing my camera on a branch and using the self-timer.
The scout is taking me all over western Washington, including the Olympic Range, the North Cascades, Mount Rainier and all parts in-between. I can’t wait to see the final product up on screen.
