Seattle on the big screen

blog post 28.jpg

Ever since Elvis paid us a visit in “It Happened at the World’s Fair,” Seattle and Washington State have been featured in dozens of movies.    Next month I’ll be giving a presentation down at the SIFF Center that takes a look back at a bunch of them–exploring the specific locations where some of the most iconic Seattle movies were shot.   We’ll view clips from over 25 Seattle and Washington-based films, including classics like “Sleepless in Seattle” and “Singles,” as well as more recent projects like “Laggies” and “Safety Not Guaranteed.”  It should be a lot of fun.

The presentation is Sunday, March 13, from 2 pm to 5 pm at the SIFF Education Center, near the fountain at Seattle Center.

Cost is basically the price of a movie ticket– if you’re interested, come join us!  For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
